SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER - CACHE
CDNetworks is looking for a Software Test Engineer to work on the testing of the development of the next generation of caching for our global content delivery platform. You will test new caching capabilities as well as enhanced existing ones.
You will be responsible for:
● Designing test cases based on the product design documents and original requirement
● Providing feedback on potential design improvements
● Providing feedback on discrepancy between the implementation and design
● Interacting with other team members to translate requirements into complete services
● Automate the test cases in Perl/Python or other languages and integrate them in test framework
● Implementing test designs using Agile methodology
Requirements:
● BS / MS or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, or relevant engineering/science fields
● 3+ years’ experience in production coding and designing in any language
● 3+ years’ experience with Linux systems as an user or administrator
● 2+ years’ experience running and writing shell scripts
● 2+ years’ experience in Perl or Python
● Experienced with test frameworks, such as Jenkins, Robot
● Familiar with HTTP protocol and know how HTTP server works
● Familiar with TCP/IP protocol
● Experienced in software development and test cycles
● Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
● Must be self- motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented, have the ability to thrive in a team environment, and perform beyond expectations
● Experienced in using HTTP Cache servers, such as ATS, Nginx, Varnish, Squid, etc.
